Yeah good idea. Not strictly necessary until we do a release (tho one could argue simply having an open svn repo counts as 'publishing'), but it'll need to be done sooner or later. If anyone wants to commit this (before I get to it), that'd be fine with me. On a side note... Olivier, would you object to changing that string to "Copyright... Olivier Fourdan and the Xfce Developement Team" or even just "... Olivier Fourdan and others"?
Well, strictly, xfce was fist started in 1996 (not 2002). Sure, I'm fine with the idea of changing the copyright title, although there is no such "Xfce team" as an entity by itself. IANAL but I am not sure that "with others" whould be suitable either (ie define "others"?). It would be great to have some kind of structure that identifies clearly "Xfce Development Team" before changing the copyright.
Silly question, maybe, but do we even need a copyright statement there? What does it actually claim copyright on? Copyright claims on the sources are in actual source files. Just a thought, I don't have a strong opinion on this.
I agree with Jasper, the explicit copyright notice is probably not necessary at all as it is mentioned in the appropriate packages and/or source files. Maybe something like "by Olivier Fourdan and the Xfce Developement Team 1996-2008" is sufficient.
Since we are going to Beta3/RC1, this issue should maybe solved finally.

Update copyright to 2009 in revision 29420.
This is fixed in git master, the new about dialog does not have any copyright date.
