Description Benoit Chesneau 2007-05-29 06:48:41 CEST
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; OpenBSD i386; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070521 Firefox/2.0.0.3
Build Identifier:

I have no accentuated letters, no characters appear when I type it in Terminal even if LC_TYPE is set to fr_FR.ISO8859-15 :
(Terminal:29560): Vte-WARNING **: Error (Illegal byte sequence) converting data for child, dropping.

If I set LC_ALL to same encoding it works. However if I set LC_ALL or LC_TYPE to en_US.UTF-8 i get the same error.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
just launch terminal.

mistyped bug report. Error is the same with LC_CTYPE...
Comment 3 Benoit Chesneau 2007-05-29 09:12:38 CEST
after cleaning my home everything work. Seems something was wrong. So it works. What's weird is that whean I launched Terminal with this command :

env LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.ISO-8859-15 terminal

it changed nothing :/

I changed resolution to worksforme.
