Description Radomir Dopieralski 2007-05-15 21:29:56 CEST
User-Agent: Opera/9.20 (X11; Linux i686; U; en)
Build Identifier:

I use Squeeze together with Thunar archive plugin. When I select the "extract to" option from the menu, a directory-selection dialog pops up, with the archive name in the "Name" field and the current directory in the "Create in folder" field. But as soon as I navigate to any other directory, the "Name" field is cleared, and pressing the "Extract" button has no result. I have to click the "Name" filed and type "." in it to make it work. This is very obnoxious.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Right-click on archive in Thunar
2. Select "extract to"
3. Navigate to a different directory
4. Press "Extract"

Actual Results:
Nothing. The dialog doesn't disappear, but it also doesn't extract the archive.

Expected Results:
Archive extracted to the directory to which I navigated, or a subdirectory named the same as the archive.

I can see two possible solutions:
* Don't clear the "Name" filed when navigating to another directory
* Treat empty "Name" filed the same as if it was "."
