Hello,

If I login for the first time from a tty, startxfce4, and then run ``xfmedia-remote --play'' I get an DBUS error. Exporting the DBUS_SESSION_BUS_PID variable doesn't get me in this trouble.

Now on a side note, if I login for the first time, startxfce4, run xfmedia, quit xfmedia, and then run ``xfmedia-remote --play'' it works.

Regards,
Mike

Hm, the pid shouldn't be needed. Atleast your patch doesn't work if DBus uses a different directory for the pid.

I don't understand why this is needed at all -- this works fine for me with dbus 1.0.2 without any extra exporting. Do you have a problem launching separate Terminal windows in the same Terminal process, or using Thunar in daemon mode?

As said, the behavior I get is the one I described. I will see to get a small piece of dbus code and make a small test. For the mean time I guess I close this bug as invalid.

Thunar and Terminal are working very well.
