Description Bj 2006-10-13 19:57:52 CEST
in 23404 i can't get the compositing tab in wmteaks and when i set UseCompositing in the xfwm4.xml file to 1 and restart xfwm4, i don't get compositing too.
i tried to rebuild several times, with and without xcompmgr (is it needed?).
it worked some days ago when i tested, though.

compositing is enabled in the xorg.conf.

Humm, I'm using it right now and it works

Comment 2 Olivier Fourdan editbugs 2006-10-13 20:18:47 CEST
xcompmgr is really *not* needed and unrelated (Please note that if xcompmgr or any other compositing manager is running, xfwm4 compositor cannot be enabled - Only one compositor can run at a time!)
Comment 3 Bj 2006-10-13 20:27:33 CEST
yeah, i just asked because it was still mentioned in the arch PKGBUILD as a makedepends and i thought it wasn't needed, that's why i asked about xcompmgr. just to make sure.

i get the same output as you do, though:
baze ~ $ xfwm4 --version

Rev 23407. should have this fixed.
Comment 5 Olivier Fourdan editbugs 2006-10-13 20:49:44 CEST
BTW, thanks for the report, seems I couldn't get that fixed for a while, beside all my attempts to do so.
Comment 6 Bj 2006-10-13 20:52:51 CEST
