Hello,

i have empty kcontrol an konqueror settings while using xfce4. When i logged in with KDE all items are on the right place. But wenn i use xfce4, which i prefere, i can not get access on konqueror settings and kcontrol modules.
Starting kcontrol form Eterm results in:

$ kcontrol
 Link points to "/tmp/ksocket-maxim"
 Link points to "/tmp/kde-maxim"
 kbuildsycoca running...
 Link points to "/var/tmp/kdecache-maxim"

I thought it was a KDE issue, but after execution of "startkde" everything is on the right place.
Any ideas?

thanx.

You can try checking the "enable KDE services" item in the xfce session manager settings panel, but otherwise this has nothing to do with us.

See bug #2067. It's a bug in KDE.
