Using xfce_heading_set_icon_name with a customized stock icon (e.g. XFBURN_STOCK_BLANK_CDRW) doesn't work and doesn't report any error.

Stock-ids and themed icons are different things. I don't think we need to support stock-ids as well, as most of the stock icons should be loaded from themed icons anyway these days.

ok i understand, may be you should add a g_warning if you can detect such confusion.

That g_warning() would need to be added to GTK+. BTW. to make life easier you could simply choose the same name for both the stock-id and the themed icon.
