Crash When Renaming Files
Status:
RESOLVED: WORKSFORME

Description slumbergod 2019-09-08 22:07:21 CEST
Not sure where we are supposed to file bug reports these days and not interested in being told it is a "feature" like the sociopaths do in the libreoffice forums.

Running Thunar 1.8.9 on Bionic 18.0.4.3 from the Staging PPA.

I simply want to report that in the last week of testing Thunar has crashed several times. I rename a file. Thunar crashes. I restart it and the file has successfully been renamed.

So just like the old crash bug that plagued Thunar.

Thanks for reporting !
For me renaming works just fine. Could you please try to get a backtrace ? (E.g. via coredumps)
Here more information on it: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash

You have a link to that old rename bug ?

Thanks for linking, yes, could be the bug slumbergod faced.

Since there is no further notice from him, I will just close this bug.

@slumbergod, feel free to reopen, if the bug still occurs for you
