Created attachment 5193 Screen capture of a sadly unsuccessful attemp of shrinking Thunar window when folder with a very long name is open First of all, a folder with a long name is needed. Now I open Thunar and navigate to my home folder and resize the window to make it as narrow as possible. I make sure the "Path bar style" is activated in the menu*: View -> Location bar -> Path bar style and open the folder with the long name. Thunar window is horizontally resized so that the whole folder name fits in the "Path bar". This is, well, acceptable. Unfortunately, the folder name is so long that the window becomes wider than the screen resolution. And this is a big mess, because it can not be shrinked back. Furthermore, if I go back to the Home folder (ALT + LEFT arrow // ALT + UP arrow), the Home folder cannot be resized either. I must open another folder with a short name, and then I can resize properly. Suggestion: cutting the name of the folder in the "Path bar" to fit the window size would be better than resizing the window to the folder name. Thanks for your work!
