Screensaver fails to actually blank/lock the screen on FreeBSD

Debug log

I've been testing a new port of this software on FreeBSD, I'm able to compile and install it. it does start and run, also the configuration window is fully functional. Preview mode works fine.

Unluckily it's unable to actually blank the screen or lock it at the prescribed time.

I noticed it does flicker the screen to black for a split second at the prescribed time out but the the screen goes back to unblanked state.

I've been testing with the mouse upside down to be sure no input is getting from there. I could also unplug it if required but I'm positive that's not the issue here.

I'm attaching a debug log hoping it can shed some light.

These are the arguments passed to configure when building it:

--with-xscreensaverdir=/usr/local/share/xscreensaver/config --with-xscreensaverhackdir=/usr/local/bin/xscreensaver-hacks --with-console-kit=yes --with-systemd=no --enable-nls --enable-authentication-scheme=helper --with-passwd-helper=/usr/local/bin/pam_helper --enable-debug=yes --x-libraries=/usr/local/lib --x-includes=/usr/local/include --prefix=/usr/local

If any further information or test is required just ask.

Thanks in advance.

I've pushed some fixes related to this issue. Can you try again with the latest commits from master?

Thanks for the quick reply.

Right now I'm a little busy and can't perform the test right away.

Please allow me a little time to get on to it, I'll report back ASAP.

I have tested commit cb0d647 taken from the github xfce mirror.

It now works fine on FreeBSD, the screensaver blanks the screen and locks it as expected.

May I expect a new release in the next few days?
