About xfdesktop

Introduci�n

+ The xfdesktop application manages the desktop backdrop. It sets a + backdrop image and/or color and it can pop up an applications + menu and a list of all running applications when you click on the desktop + with the right or middle mouse button respectively. As of Xfce 4.4, + xfdesktop also draws icons on the desktop. +

+ The xfdesktop package installs a settings dialog for use with + the Xfce 4 Settings Manager. From this dialog you + can change the backdrop image and color and change settings for the menu + and the window list. +

Backdrop

+ xfdesktop is responsible for drawing the desktop's backdrop (sometimes called + "wallpaper") image. There are various options for setting a backdrop + image. The final picture seen on the monitor is composed of a solid + color or gradient, with an image or photo (with optional transparency) + composited on top of the color or gradient. This allows for some + interesting effects using semi-transparent images on top of various + color arrangements. +

Iconas

+ In addition to drawing the backdrop image, xfdesktop can draw icons on the + desktop. +

Minimized Window Icons

+ One mode of operation displays minimized applications as icons on the + desktop, which can be rearranged, and will remember their positions + when the window is unhidden and then later minimized again. The icons + also provide a right-click menu similar to the window's control menu + accessed by clicking the button in the top-left corner of the window. +

File/Launcher Icons

+ xfdesktop can also display on the desktop the contents of the + $XDG_DESKTOP_DIR folder, which can be set in + the $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/user-dirs.dirs file (if you + do not have this file, it will use $HOME/Desktop). + Files can be arranged, copied, moved, + and linked to and from a file manager, and opened using + preferred applications. Application and URL launchers can + also be created on the desktop. The file icon view is modeled + to have a similar look and feel as the + Thunar file + manager. +

The Desktop Menu

+ A right-click on the desktop backdrop opens a menu that allows you to + open a Thunar window in the Desktop directory, to create launchers, + URL links, folders and files from templates. It is also possible to + open the Desktop Settings and the Properties window of the Desktop + directory and to start many of the applications found on your system. +

+ The menu's configuration file, xfce-applications.menu, + can be found under the path + $sysconfdir/xdg/menus/xfce-applications.menu. + For binary packages, $sysconfdir is often + /etc and for source compiles, it defaults to + /usr/local/etc. +

+ The previous menu editor is not available anymore. + However you can customize your menu by copying + xfce-applications.menu to + $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/menus and by modifying it + with a text editor such as mousepad or + gedit. The Window List Menu

+ A middle-click on the desktop backdrop shows a list of all opened + windows ordered by workspace. It also allows you to add or remove + a workspace. +

+ You can start the Desktop settings dialog by clicking on the + "Desktop" button in the + Xfce Settings Manager. +

Background Tab

+ The Background tab allows you to set various options related to + drawing the desktop backdrop picture. +

Imaxe

+ Select the "None" option if you want + xfdesktop to ignore the backdrop image and only use the selected + colors. +

+ Select the "Single image" option if + you want xfdesktop to draw a backdrop image. +

+ Select the "Image List" option if you + want xfdesktop to randomly choose the backdrop image among a list. +

Images

+ If you selected the "Single image" option, + you can choose an image from the treeview. Click on an image + to set it as the current backdrop. xfdesktop will update the + background of your desktop automatically. +

+ You can add images to the treeview by clicking on the "plus" + button, which will pop a file chooser dialog up. Images can be + removed using the "minus" button. +

+ If you selected the "Image list" option, + you can use the "New" button displaying a blank sheet to select + an existing list or create a new one, using a file chooser. + You can still use the "plus" and "minus" buttons to add + and remove images. xfdesktop will then randomly choose a backdrop + among this list every time it starts. +

+ Five Style options ("Centered", + "Tiled", + "Stretched", + "Scaled" and + "Zoomed") + are available to specify the fitting of the backdrop image + on the screen, depending on its size. You can also select + the "Auto" item if you want to let xfdesktop + take care of this setting. +

+ xfdesktop supports xinerama and multiscreen modes. In + multiscreen mode, the Background tab shows one tab per screen. +

Colors

+ The color style is one of four options in dropping list: + a solid color, horizontal gradient, vertical gradient, or + transparent. +

+ The "Transparent" option, when you use + a colored background without backdrop image, allows you + to see the windows that are under the transparent desktop + window. This requires an activated compositor. +

+ Two colored buttons allow you to choose the colors for your + desktop. When the solid color option is selected, only the + first color is available. When either of the gradient + options are selected, both the first and second colors + are available. Both of the color buttons open a color + chooser dialog: +

+ You can use the colored ring with a triangle inside to + select the color you want from the outer ring, then select the + darkness or lightness of that color using the inner triangle. + Corresponding values of brightness, deepness, and amount of red, + green and blue light in the color appear through the entries on + the right side of the window. +
+ You can click the eyedropper, then click anywhere on your + screen to select the color. +
+ You can enter an HTML-style hexadecimal color value, or + simply a color name, in the "Color Name" + entry. +

+ The selected colors will fill the entire root window, and will + remain visible through a transparent backdrop image. +

Adjustments

+ The two sliders allow you to adjust the brightness and the + saturation of the backdrop image and or color. +

Desktop Menu

+ If you check the + "Show applications menu on desktop right click", + the applications menu + will be shown when right clicking on the desktop. +

Window List Menu

+ If you check the + "Show window list menu on desktop middle click" + option, the + window list menu + will be shown when middle clicking on the desktop. +

+ The "Show application icons in menu" + option allows you to show or hide icons in the menu. This + option is only available when + "Show window list menu on desktop middle click" + is checked. +

+ The + "Show workspace names in list" + option allows you to show or hide workspace names in the list. + If checked, windows are shown under the name of their workspace. + Else, they are all shown in the same portion of the menu. + This option is only available when + "Show window list menu on desktop middle click" + is checked. +

Appearance

+ The "Icon type" dropping list allows + you to set the behavior of the desktop icons. There are + three options: "None", to disable desktop icons entirely; + "Minimized" application icons, to show icons for + minimized or hidden applications on the desktop; + and "File/launcher" icons, to show the contents of your + $XDG_DESKTOP_DIR directory on the + desktop. +

+ If desktop icons are enabled, you can control the size of the icon + itself (in pixels) with the "Icon size" + option, and the font size used to display the icon text + (in points) with the + "Use custom font size" option. If you + do not check this last option, the system defaults will be + used. +

Default Icons

+ The checkboxes allow you to show or hide special icons on + the desktop, when xfdesktop is set to draw icons. Double + clicking those icons will open a Thunar window displaying + the contents of a particular path. +

Hidden Options

+ There are a number of hidden options that cannot be set by the Xfce + Settings Manager. These require use of a text editor. +

Icon View Text Appearance

+ The colors of the icon text and the icon text background, as well + as the opacity of the icon text background, can be customized + by putting directives simiar to the following in your + ~/.gtkrc-2.0 file: +

Quant a xfdesktop

Introducci�

L'aplicaci� xfdesktop gestiona l'escriptori. Fixa la imatge de fons i/o el color. Tamb� pot mostrar el men� d'aplicacions i el llistat d'aplicacions en execuci� quan feu clic en l'escriptori amb el bot� de la dreta o el del mig respectivament. Des de la sortida de Xfce 4.4, xfdesktop tamb� pot mostrar icones a l'escriptori.

El paquet xfdesktop instaŀla un di�leg d'ajustaments pel gestor d'ajustaments de Xfce 4. Amb aquest di�leg podeu canviar la imatge i el color de fons i, tamb�, canviar el par�metres del men� i de la llista de finestres.

Fons

xfdesktop �s el responsable de mostrar la imatge de fons de l'escriptori. Hi han v�ries opcions per ajustar la imatge de fons. La imatge final que es mostrar� est� composada d'un color s�lid i el seu degradat juntament amb la imatge o fotografia, amb una imatge o fotografia (opcionalment amb transpar�ncia) a sobre del color i/o degradat de color. Aix� permet alguns efectes interessants en el cas de que s'empri imatges semi-transparents a sobre de la configuraci� de color de fons.

Icones

A m�s a m�s de mostrar la imatge de fons, xfdesktop pot mostrar icones a l'escriptori.

Icones de finestres minimitzades

Un dels modes �s el de mostrar a l'escriptori les icones de finestres minimitzades, que es poder reordenar, i que pot recordar les seves posicions quan, despr�s de tornar-les a mostrar, es minimitzen un altre cop. A les icones tamb� se'ls hi ha afegit un men� amb el clic-dret similar al del men� de control de la finestra que es mostra amb al fer clic al control de dalt a l'esquerra de la finestra.

Icones de fitxer/llan�ador

El men� d'escriptori

Un clic-dret en el fons de l'escriptori obre un men� que us permetr� obrir el �Thunar� en el directori de l'escriptori, i aix� poder crear llan�adors, enlla�os d'URLs, carpetes i fitxers de les plantilles. Tamb� us permetr� obrir el gestor d'ajustaments i les propietats de la finestra del directori de l'escriptori, i tamb� iniciar moltes de les aplicacions del vostre sistema.

El fitxer del men� de configuraci�, xfce-applications.menu, es por trobar en el directori $sysconfdir/xdg/menus/xfce-applications.menu. Pe paquets instaŀlats, $sysconfdir �s sovint /etc i pels paquets creats localment acostuma a ser /usr/local/etc.

El men� de la llista de finestres

Un clic amb el bot� del mig al fons de l'escriptori us mostrar� una llista de finestres obertes ordenades per espai de treball. Tamb� us permetr� afegir o treure espais de treball.

Configuraci� de l'escriptori

Podeu obrir la finestra d'ajustaments de l'escriptori fent clic al bot� �Escriptori� al gestor d'ajustaments de Xfce.

Pestanya del rerefons

La pestanya de rerefons us permet establir diverses opcions relacionades amb mostrar la imatge de fons de l'escriptori.

Seleccioneu l'opci� �Cap� si voleu que xfdesktop ignori la imatge de fons i empri nom�s els colors seleccionats.

Seleccioneu l'opci� �Una imatge� si voleu que xfdesktop mostri una imatge de fons.

Seleccioneu l'opci� �Llista d'imatges� si voleu que xfdesktop trii una imatge aleat�ria del llistat d'imatges.

Imatges

Si heu seleccionat l'opci� �Una imatge�, podeu triar, en la visualitzaci� en arbre, la imatge. Feu clic a la imatge per fixar-la com el fons actual. xfdesktop actualitzar� el fons del vostre escriptori autom�ticament.

Podeu afegir imatges a la visualitzaci� en arbre fent clic el el bot� �m�s�, el qual us mostrar� un di�leg de selecci� de fitxer. Les imatges es poden treure amb el bot� �menys�.

Si seleccioneu l'opci� �Llista d'imatges�, podeu emprar el bot� �Nou� per mostrar una llista en blanc per seleccionar una llista ja existent o crear una de nova, emprant un di�leg de selecci� de fitxer. Podeu emprar els botons �m�s� i �menys� per afegir o treure imatges. xfdesktop seleccionar� d'aquesta llista i forma aleat�ria quina imatge es mostra cada cop que es torna a arrancar.

Hi han 5 opcions d'estil (�Al centre�, En mosaic�, �S'amplia�, �S'escala� i �Zoom�) disponibles per fixar la imatge de fons a l'escriptori, depenent de la seva mida. Tamb� podeu seleccionar l'element �Autom�tic� si voleu que sigui xfdesktop qui es preocupi d'aquesta opci�.

xfdesktop funciona amb �xinerama� i amb modes multi-pantalla. En mode multi-pantalla, la pestanya de rerefons es mostrar� un cop per cada pantalla.

Colors

L'estil de color ha de ser una de les seg�ents opcions de la llista de selecci�: color s�lid, degradat horitzontal, degradat vertical o transparent.

L'opci� �Transparent�, quan empreu un fons acolorit sense imatge de fons, us permet veure les finestres que estan a sota de la finestra transparent de l'escriptori. Per aix� us cal un motor de composici� (�compositor�) actiu.

Dos botons acolorits que us permeten triar els colors de l'escriptori. Quan heu triat l'opci� de color s�lid, nom�s est� disponible el primer color. Quan heu seleccionat qualsevulla de les opcions de degradat, ambd�s, el primer i segon color estan disponibles. Els dos botons de colors obren un di�leg de selecci� de color:

Podeu emprar l'anell acolorit que te dins seu un triangle, per seleccionat el color que voleu de la part exterior de l'anell, despr�s seleccioneu el nivell de llum i brillantor emprant el triangle interior. Els valors corresponents de brillantor, intensitat, quantitat de vermell, verd i blau es mostren a la part dreta de la finestra.
Podeu fer clic en el comptagotes i despr�s fer clic en qualsevol lloc de la pantalla per seleccionar el color.
Podeu introduir a l'�rea d'entrada �Nom de color� valors de colors en hexadecimal (al estil HTML) o simplement un nom de color.

Els color seleccionats ompliran tota la finestra arrel i romandran visibles si s'empra una imatge de fons amb transpar�ncies.

Ajustaments

Els dos botons lliscants us permet ajustar la brillantor i saturaci� de la imatge o el color de fons.

Men� d'escriptori

Si marqueu �Mostra el men� d'aplicacions amb el bot� dret del ratol��, el men� d'aplicacions es mostrar� amb al clicar sobre l'escriptori amb el bot� dret del ratol�.

Men� de llista de finestres

Si marqueu l'opci� �Mostra la llista de finestres amb el bot� del mig del ratol��, el men� amb la llista de finestres es mostrar� al fer clic sobre l'escriptori amb el bot� del mig del ratol�.

L'opci� �Mostra les icones d'aplicaci� al men�� us permet mostrar, o no, les icones en el men�. Aquesta opci� nom�s est� disponible quan �Mostra la llista de finestres amb el bot� del mig del ratol�� est� marcada.

L'opci� �Mostra els noms dels espais de treball en una llista� us permet mostrar, o no, els noms dels espais de treball a la llista. Si est� marcada, les finestres es mostren sota el nom del seu espai de treball. Si no est� marcada, es mostren totes en el mateix lloc del men�. Aquesta opci� nom�s est� disponible quan l'opci� �Mostra la llista de finestres amb el bot� del mig del ratol�� est� marcada.

L'opci� �Empra submen�s per les finestres de cada espai de treball� us permet tenir les finestres mostrades en un submen�, que tindr� el t�tol del nom de l'espai de treball. Aquesta opci� nom�s est� disponible quan l'opci� �Mostra els noms dels espais de treball en una llista� est� marcada.

L'opci� �Mostra les finestres omnipresents nom�s a l'espai de treball actiu�/emphasis> us permet que les finestres omnipresents nom�s es mostrin a l'espai de treball actiu, encara de que s'estiguin mostrant a tots els espais de treball.

Appearance

Si les icones d'escriptori estan habilitades, podeu ajustar la seva mida (en p�xels) mitjan�ant l'opci� �Mida de les icones�, i la mida del tipus de lletra amb el que es mostrar� el text (en punts) mitjan�ant l'opci� �Empra mida de _lletra personalitzada�. Si no heu marcar aquesta darrera opci�, s'empraran els valors per defecte del sistema.

Icones per defecte

Les caselles de selecci� us permeten mostrar o amagar algunes icones especials a l'escriptori, quan xfdesktop est� configurat per mostrar icones. Si es fa doble clic en aquestes icones s'obrir� una finestra de Thunar per mostrar el contingut d'una carpeta concreta.

Opcions ocultes

Hi ha un grapat d'opcions ocultes que no es poden fixar mitjan�ant el gestor d'ajustaments de Xfce. Per aquestes us caldr� emprar un editor de text.

Aparen�a del text de les icones

Els colors del text de les icones i del seu fons, aix� com la opacitat del fons del text de les icones, es pot ajustar emprant directives similars a les seg�ents en el vostre fitxer filename>~/.gtkrc-2.0

La primera entrada fixa l'opacitat del fons arrodonit del text. Les tres entrades �base� fixen el color del fons del text, i les tres entrades �fg� fixen el color del text.

La entrada �NORMAL� fixa el color de l'estat habitual, estat de no seleccionat. La entrada �SELECTED� fixa el color quan la icona est� seleccionada i l'escriptori te el focus del teclat. La entrada �ACTIVE� fixa el color quan la icona est� seleccionada per� l'escriptori no te el focus del teclat.

Misceŀl�nia

Tamb� podeu obrir el men� o la llista de finestres des de la l�nia d'ordres. Aix� pot ser �til si s'empren les dreceres de teclat. Per obrir el men� executeu l'ordre xfdesktop--menu, i per la llista de finestres empreu xfdesktop--windowlist. Per fer que la inst�ncia actual finalitzi, executeu xfdesktop--quit.

Om xfdesktop

Introduktion

xfdesktop programmet h�ndterer skrivebordets tapet. Den indstiller tapetets billede og/eller farven og kan fremvise en programmenu og en liste over alle k�rende programmer, n�r du klikker p� skrivebordet med henholdsvis den h�jre eller midter museknap. Fra og med Xfce 4.4 tegner xfdesktop ogs� ikoner p� skrivebordet

xfdesktop pakken installerer en indstillingsdialog til brug i indstillingsh�ndteringen til Xfce 4. Fra denne dialog kan du �ndre tapetets billede og farve samt �ndre indstillingerne for menuen og vindueslisten.

Tapet

xfdesktop er ansvarlig for at tegne skrivebordets tapetbillede (nogen gange kaldt "baggrund"). Der er forskellige muligheder til indstilling af et tapetbillede. Det endelige billede best�r af en ensfarvet eller farveovergang, med et billede eller foto (med tilvalg gennemsigtighed) sammensat oven p� farven eller farveovergangen. Dette tillader nogle interesante effekter ved at bruge halvgennemsigtige billeder oven p� diverse farvearrangementer.

Ikoner

Udover at tegne tapetbilledet, kan xfdesktop ogs� tegne ikoner p� skrivebordet.

Minimerede vinduesikoner

En af handlingstilstandende viser minimerede programmer som ikoner p� skrivebordet, der kan omarrangeres, og som vil huske deres position n�r vinduet er blevet gendannet og minimeret igen. Ikonerne tilbyder ogs� en h�jreklikmenu i stil med vinduets kontrolmenu, som tilg�s ved at trykke p� knappen i det �verste venstre hj�rne af vinduet.

Fil/programstarter ikoner

xfdesktop kan ogs� vise indholdet af $XDG_CONFIG_DESKTOP p� skrivebordet, som angivet per XDG-brugermappeindstillinger, i stil med de ikonvisninger der findes i mange af de andre skrivebordsmilj�er og operativsystemer. Filer kan blive arrangeret, kopieret, flyttet og henvist til og fra en filh�ndtering, samt �bnes ved at bruge foretrukne programmer. Program- og URL- startere kan ogs� oprettes p� skrivebordet. Visning af filikoner er designet til at ses og f�les ligesom Thunar-filh�ndteringen.

Skrivebordsmenuen

Et h�jreklik p� skrivebordets baggrund �bner en menu som tillader dig at �bne et Thunarvindue i skrivebordsmappen, at oprette startere, URL-henvisninger, mapper og filer fra skabeloner. Det er ogs� muligt at �bne skrivebordsindstillingerne og egenskabsvinduet til skrivebordsmappen og til at starte mange af programmerne som findes p� dit system.

Menuens indstillingsfil, xfce-applications.menu, kan findes i stien $sysconfdir/xdg/menus/xfce-applications.menu. For bin�re pakker, $sysconfdir er ofte /etc og for kildekompileringer er standarden /usr/local/etc.

Den tidligere menuredigering et ikke l�ngere tilr�dighed. Du kan dog tilpasse din menu ved at kopiere xfce-applications.menu til $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/.config/xdg/menus og �ndre den med et tekstprogram s�som mousepad or gedit. Husk at filen skal v�re med UTF-8-kodning.

Yderligere tilpasning kan opn�s ved at oprette skrivebordselementer in $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/.local/share/applications til at skjule, �ndre eller tilf�je elementer til menu.

Menuliste til vinduet

Et midterklik p� skrivebordets tapet, viser en liste over alle �bne vinduer arrangeret efter arbejdsomr�de. Den tillader dig ogs� at tilf�je eller fjerne et arbejdsomr�de.

Du kan starte skrivbordsindstillingsdialogen ved at klikke p� "Skrivebordsknappen" i indstillingsh�ndteringen til Xfce.

Baggrundstab

Fanebladet til baggrunden tillader dig at indstille diverse muligheder i forbindelse med at tegne skrivebordets tapetbillede.
