Some fixes went into libxfcegui4 related to this issue. Please try to reproduce with libxfcegui4 4.6.3.
This has been verified as still existing in libxfcegui4 4.6.3 as used by Xubuntu 10.04 development version. During an ISO image test, the crash was reproduced as https://launchpad.net/bugs/568233 .
Closing, please reopen if this still happens in Xfce 4.7pre1.
