It would be great to be able to set the compose key through the GUI, in the "Layout" tab maybe.

In fact it'd be nice to be able to select all XKB options from the xfce4-settings interface. Currently if one needs options, it has to select “Xorg config” and configure it in Xorg (xorg.conf or hal or console-setup or whatever is the correct way, which is moving a bit fast nowadays).

So It'd be nice to be able to set everything from Xfce.

I second that. I can set two layouts (English and Czech/qwerty, in my case), but cannot set the key for switching the layout and the layout identification LED. In GN*ME, there is a "Options" pop-up in the Keyboard preferences (Layouts tab),
where the layout switch keys, LEDS, etc. can be set.

Compose key can now be configured in git master branch.
